Logging in to InPlace:
To login to InPlace as a student or staff member, please visit https://wil.rmit.edu.au/
Staff access to InPlace:
Staff requiring access to the InPlace WIL system must complete the InPlace User Access Request Form to be assigned an InPlace role and access to their schools disciplines and WIL courses. New users should also attend training.
Staff login using their employee number and password through the CAS link (after access has been granted):
Roles in InPlace:
There are three main roles for InPlace:
WIL Champion
WIL Practitioner
WIL Read Only
Please note: InPlace training is required for the WIL Champion and WIL Practitioner roles.
There are also add on roles you can request to create reports, use bulk processes, send bulk communications and create Agencies (if you don’t already have access to do so).
Student access to InPlace:
Student’s will have their access to the InPlace student portal (using their CAS student log on) after they have enrolled in their placement course/s and had the InPlace student guide provided by their practitioner.
We do offer support for students. If you are contacted by a student having issues with using InPlace and your WIL Champion cannot help, you can refer them to us for assistance and support.
We do provide practitioners with an InPlace Student Quick Reference Guide (QRG) that can be customised for their school and used as a training resource for students.

InPlace environments:
PROD: The InPlace Production [https://wil.rmit.edu.au] environment is for actually entering and managing your placements and industry contacts and can only be accessed after you have received confirmation of your access through submitting a InPlace User Access Request Form. You should also ask to book in for InPlace training when you request access.
TRN: The InPlace Training environment [https://wiltrn.rmit.edu.au] can be accessed during and after training to practice managing your WIL activities before entering the production environment.
UAT: The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment [https://wiluat.rmit.edu.au] for users to test and sign off on configuration requests such as new Extended Attributes, Correspondence Templates, new Disciplines deployment, Reports etc.
